About us

We manufacture and supply purpose made steel components for various trades and private individuals. Budget Steel Fabrications was established in 1983 manufacturing spiral staircases and fire escapes for private and industrial use. The company grew quickly due to our involvement with security problems of many industries. Within 5 years we were manufacturing security cages, strong rooms and grilles for many of the high street names nationwide.

Due to the uncertainty of the economic climate we quickly realised we would have to establish ourselves with a product that would be required on a regular basis, so the company went into the design and manufacture of Stillages for use in storing and transporting goods. We have now been supplying gas stillages to leading gas companies nationwide for the last 22 years Gas industry standards and new European legislation has enabled us to insist all our time served welders are coded to BS-EN 287-1-2004 which also benefits BSF in all of its other systems.

Gas Stillages

We produce cradles for industrial gases to enable the customer to transport this highly dangerous product safely. These gases are used in many different industries, such as Hospitals, Food, Paint and Plastics, Refrigeration, Engineering and many more. In many cases gas cylinders are coupled together within the stillage to give a greater volume and be more cost effective.

Security Cages, Strong Rooms and Grilles

These products are required by virtually every High Street Outlet, Mobile phone companies, Computer outlets, TV and Electrical shops, Jewellers, Clothing and many more. They are supplied and installed nationwide to individual designs fitted with shelving, safe-boxes, lighting and any specific item at your request. This product has been very successful for the high street shop outlet Phones 4U.

Staircases and Fire-Escapes

We manufacture these for Industry & private individuals. All stair units, platforms and handrails to your individual requirements and comply with all B S Regulations.

Fencing & Handrails

We do various types for industry and private, such as Palisades, Bow-top and chain link Fencing, with all vandal deterrent units. Hand railing of all types, fitted Nationwide for companies, such as Network Rail, C Spencer's Ltd, Local Councils, Humberside Fire Authority and British Telecom.

Contractual Agreements

Yorkshire Water Authority - For works on all Fresh water and sewage treatment works. Producing access staircases, platforms, ladders, hand railing, fencing and on site repairs to improve health and safety.

Hull City Council - Maintenance approved contractors list, Security roller shutter doors, window grilles, structural steelwork and various domestic and industrial requirements including an emergency call out system.

Energas Ltd - Supplying Nationwide vehicular transportation units for industrial gases, These units all comply to European health and safety legislation and are certified individually.

Network Rail - Supply and installation of Fencing, safety handrailing, compounds, security gates, all Nationwide.

British Telecom - Supplying anti theft security units for their payphone 2000 x/p.

We have also been the sub contractors for many larger companies, which have given us access to many sites, such as British Petroleum (Hull) Corus Rail (Castleton) Tarmac Construction, Balfour Beatty and many more.
